Marlon Brando said it best when stating, “Tetiaroa is beautiful beyond my capacity to describe. One could say that Tetiaroa is the tincture of the South Seas.”
The elusive Brando Resort is inspired by his original designs and sits on one of a dozen small islets adorning the stunning vast lagoon. For centuries the island of Tetiaroa was a private retreat for Tahitian Royalty. Tribal Kings and Queens would hideaway on this unspoiled nirvana to relax, rejuvenate their souls and return to harmony with nature. Read more about this uniquely, magnificent atoll in our Tetiaroa Island Overview.
Guests begin their adventure being whisked away on The Brando’s private plane for the 15-minute flight to paradise. A traditional Tahitian dance and song is the perfect welcome for guests, transporting one back to a simpler and more beautiful time. This warm and musical welcome sets the tone for a stay that is both tranquil and immersed in Tahitian traditions and culture.
Enjoy a quick tour of the grounds before being taken to your private beach villa nestled among the coconut palms and white sandy beach. The Brando is unlike any of the other resorts in French Polynesia and has earned its ranking by Travel & Leisure as one of the top two resorts in the world.
It’s clear to anyone that visits that The Brando is devoted to preserving and protecting the natural splendor and environmental diversity of Tetiaroa. The resort’s effort to respect and support Polynesian tradition while attaining a tiny carbon footprint is commendable.
The only true “all-inclusive” property in French Polynesia, this lavish hotel is perfect for travelers looking to experience the ultimate in luxury and rich Polynesian culture while putting aside their wallet to truly relax. All meals and beverages are included as part of the stay, and many activities including snorkeling, lagoon tours, and beachfront water sports equipment.
